Environment is a basic need for all living beings because every necessity for them depends on it. Unless the environment is protected, the existence of life on the planet Earth would be impossible. That is why environmental issues have become globally important. All people must give their contribution for the betterment of environment. Due to increasing media coverage, our society is becoming more aware of the effects that our activities put on the health of the environment. Mass Media plays an important role for creating environment awareness among people. Media play an important role in influencing the attitudes of the public towards the environment.
CEJ invites media houses to register for accreditation to cover the proceedings of the 2024 Environmental Protection Dialogue from 9th to 11th October 2024 at the Mulungushi International Conference Centre, Kenneth Kaunda Wing in Lusaka, Zambia under the theme: “STRENGHTHENING ENVIRONMENTAL LAW FOR THRIVING COMMUNITIES.” The EPD2024 will bring together 500 physical delegates and over 50 joining virtually comprising of government line ministries, civil society organisations, private sector, UN agencies, regional bodies, international organisations, foreign dignitaries, traditional leaders, community-based organisations, faith-based organisations, civil leaders, environmental legal practitioners, environmental activists, academia, youth and women associations, and the media.
