Venue
CEJ with its cooperating partners are scheduled to host the 5th Environmental Protection Dialogue dubbed “EPD2024” from the 9th to 11th October 2024 at the Mulungushi International Conference Centre, Kenneth Kaunda Wing in Lusaka, Zambia under the theme: “STRENGHTHENING ENVIRONMENTAL LAW FOR THRIVING COMMUNITIES.”
Delegates
The EPD2024 will bring together 500 physical delegates comprising of government line ministries, civil society organisations, private sector, UN agencies, regional bodies, international organisations, foreign dignitaries, traditional leaders, community-based organisations, faith-based organisations, civil leaders, environmental legal practitioners, environmental activists, academia, youth and women associations, and the media.
Overall Goal
To hasten progress toward environmental law compliance, conservation, corporate collaboration and sustainable communities.
Objectives
- Build stronger corporate partnerships for conservation, environment, social and economic.
- Secure key decisions and recommendations in strengthening environmental monitoring, law compliance and enforcement.
- Promote inclusive and affordable living environments that cultivate equity, health and well-being for vulnerable and marginalised communities.
- Strengthen awareness among state and non-state actors including private sector on environmental injustices and involvement in decision-making regarding environmental protection.
