2024 Environmental Protection Dialogue

“Strengthening Environmental Law for Thriving Communities.”

The Centre for Environment Justice and Ministry of Green Economy and Environment co-hosted the fifth Environmental Protection Dialogue dubbed EPD2024 from the 9th to 11th of October 2024 bearing the theme “Strengthening Environmental Law for Thriving Communities”. The Dialogue was held at the Mulungushi International Conference Centre Kenneth Kaunda wing and was supported by CEJ’s convening partners; United Nations Development Fund (UNDEF), European Union, Bread for the World (BftW), Southern Africa Trust (SAT), Joint Country Programme (JCP), United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), First Quantum Minerals Limited (FQM), Biocarbon Partners (BCP), We Effect, Hivos and Zambia Climate Change Network (ZCCN).

The EPD2024 attracted more than 500 delegates of which included government line ministries, UN Agencies, foreign dignitaries, private sector, community members, traditional leaders, local CSOs, CBOs, INGOs, FBOs, youth and women organsations, academia and media.
